In July & August 2015 we were able to fundraise some funds for purchasing water tanks and irrigation kits for 3 youth polytechnic. In these schools source of water for irrigation was the main challenge and we prioritized on providing water tanks and irrigation kits in these schools. Unfortunately it has been very dry in these regions and these schools were not able to harvest enough rain water for their school gardens. We are working towards fundraising more resources especially for gutters and seeds. We are optimistic that very soon there will be heavy rains and these polytechnics should be ready to do water harvesting. In some polytechnics where it was not very dry we were able to support them with few seeds which they planted but after some time the dry spell prolonged and their crops were really affected where some of them ended up drying. We are encouraging the students to consider carrying water from their homes and do some irrigation again a challenge as they do not have enough water at their homes. We have very high hopes that it will rain soon and these polytechnics will be able to start up. Thanks to our well wishers for your kind support and we request that you continue supporting our project.
