Self Awareness Project Report

By Flavia Piwun | Project leader

Before Enrolment, It is very important for our beneficiaries to know who they are and why they are created different.

Our empowerment primary begins by asking fundamental questions like: who are you, why are you different and what can you change about it.

While doing this, we aim to build self esteem of the Deaf women  before they are fully rolled out to society, after our training programme.

We completely understand that society struggles to accept people with disability and thus its important to prepare them for the realities on ground especially in Africa.

During our june 2024 enrolment, we built confidence in over 10 deaf women in growing to understand who they are and they ability to make an impact in the societies they come from. We have since prepared them for formal training as we wait more donor support to complete the course and roll out.

We equally encourage the different communities with people with disability to continue showing them love and affection as we strive for a better inclusive world.
