We are sharing the story of Razia , one of the beneficiaries of our sewing center. Due to recent incident in Jaranwala, where Chrsitian community was attacked by some extremists have made the community scared all over the province. Many girls from our sewing center also stopped coming for the classes. The situation is somehow better but still Christians being in minority fear to go back to their work.
Here is the story of Razia, "I, Razia. I live in Gojra. I have three kids. The sole employee in my family is my husband. His salary did not cover our bare necessities. I stopped going to school when I was in seventh grade. I lacked the education and expertise to support my husband.I recently learned about the Society for Human Development's Sewing Centre. My village was 13 kilometres from the centre. However, I made the decision to start learning to sew there and received a year of training. I sew garments for other people at my home and make a small income from it. Because of the sewing centre, I am able to send my kids to school right now.I wish to establish a sewing center in my area and my sewing skill will helped uneducated young girls to learn skills"
