This spring, we took a bold step forward by launching Armenia’s first Emotional Support Hotline with the support of Yerevan Municipality. From April to July, our small but dedicated team has been listening, supporting, and walking alongside people who needed someone to hear them.
In just a few months, nearly 300 calls reached our trained specialists. Behind each number is a person struggling with stress, loneliness, or uncertainty - someone who found comfort in knowing they were not alone. Many beneficiaries received direct emotional support and life-changing referrals, with some reaching out more than once when they needed it most.
To ensure comprehensive, continued care, we rigorously research, vet, and verify hundreds of other services available for our beneficiaries, making sure to provide multidimensional support.
We know that a hotline only matters if people are aware of it. That’s where our awareness efforts played a crucial role. From social media campaigns to posters in key city locations, to flyers shared within communities, we spread the word in many ways. Thousands of people have already come across our campaign online and offline, and many now know that if they or someone they love face emotional distress, a simple phone call can make all the difference.
The pilot phase has already shown us how deeply this service is needed. Every call reminds us that people are willing to reach out when they know a safe, compassionate space is available.
With your support, we are committed to strengthening the hotline, expanding outreach, and making sure that no one in Armenia has to struggle alone in silence.
