Warm Cloth Support to Children with Disabilities
PROTIBANADHI SHISHU SHIEKKHA O PARICHARJA SAMITY ( PROSHIPS) aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by fostering community-based development programs that enhance their economic security, access to cultural opportunities, and independence. Education, knowledge, and prevention about disability and reproductive health, restoring child/human rights, and developing human resources all receive priority attention.
During the quarter on the dated 21st June 2026 , our organization successfully implemented a Blanket Distribution Program for Children with Disabilities . The objective of the activity was to protect children with disabilities from cold-related health risks during the winter season and to provide relief to vulnerable families. A respected Community representative was present at the program, which added transparency, credibility, and encouragement for the beneficiary families.
A father of a child with disability mentioned, “The presence of the government officer makes us feel that our children are valued and supported by the state.” Parents also appreciated the respectful behavior of the organizers and the timely distribution. Overall, the activity contributed to improving the well-being of children with disabilities, strengthened trust between the community and government institutions, and demonstrated effective collaboration between civil society and the Government of Bangladesh.
To enhance the well-being and resilience of marginalized communities, focusing on Children with disabilities, by protecting them from the adverse effects of winter and fostering a sense of inclusion and care. Everyone deserves dignity, warmth, and safety during the winter months. Community support is vital to creating a better quality of life for persons with disabilities. Small acts of kindness can significantly impact those in need. Through the distribution of blankets and warm clothing, PROSHIPS has provided relief and comfort to numerous individuals and families in Jamalpur.
