"FOOD EMERGENCY SERVICE" - help that arrives at your door . The SOS Food Bank in Warsaw is launching a new initiative. "Food Emergency Service" is a program that involves preparing and delivering food parcels directly to the homes of people who cannot collect it from the Foundation themselves. The initiative is aimed at the sick, seniors, people with mobility disabilities and all those who are unable to transport larger amounts of food.
"Someone who can't afford to buy food usually finds themselves in this situation for a long time, day after day.An additional challenge is that hunger often affects people who, for various reasons, cannot leave their homes.Our program aims to help them.Food parcels are delivered directly to their doorsteps, providing not only basic support but also a sense of stability.Providing food for several days, and every few days, is tangible help that truly makes a difference" says director of the Bank.
The program involves preparing and delivering food parcels directly to the homes of people who cannot collect it from the Foundation themselves.The operating model is simple and transparent in terms of costs: purchasing and storing the products, as well as preparing the package and delivering one package is 20 $.Thanks to this, each donor knows what specific impact their contribution will bring, and the organization can efficiently plan logistics and deliveries in the capital in advance.
The project will help to maintain the continuity and stability for those in need. The SOS Food Bank in Warsaw is a non-governmental organization that has been obtaining good quality food from producers, retail chains, and farmers since 1994 and, through partner organizations, delivering it to people in need.
