A Year of Dignity: Your Support is Changing Lives

Hey Dear Partner,

Greetings! Let me tell you about HopeCore's menstrual hygiene management (MHM) progress. Honestly, Gatwiri’s story is just... wow. You know how we're working to give girls their dignity back? Well, it's happening!

Her smile says it all. Thanks to your generous donation, we provided Gatwiri with a year’s supply of sanitary products, allowing her to focus on what matters most: her education.

Coming from an underprivileged background, Gatwiri, a differently abled girl from Gitogoto Comprehensive school, faced unimaginable challenges during her menstruation. Each month, she had no choice but to use old clothes as makeshift sanitary towels, enduring discomfort, humiliation, and often missing school. Now, thanks to your support, she has the peace of mind of knowing she will confidently attend school throughout 2025.

Gatwiri’s story is just one of many. Through our Embrace Her Cycle campaign, we continue to empower schoolgirls to pursue their dreams with dignity, ensuring they are no longer held back by menstruation-related challenges.

You've been a part of this journey, and your support has made a difference. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for championing girls like Gatwiri. We couldn't do this without you. Let's keep Gatwiri smiling and bring that same joy to even more girls.

Your impact on Gatwiri is inspiring, and we're excited to share that schools in the areas where HopeCore distributes sanitary kits and provides MHM education reported a lower absenteeism rate of 18%, compared to 36% in areas without the program.  We aim to scale up our efforts to reach more vulnerable girls with a supply of sanitary towels.

Stay tuned for our next report, where we'll reveal the details of our upcoming distribution.

Warm Regards,

Village HopeCore Team
