Dear Friends,
Welcome to a new year filled with new possibilities!
In the last few months, Seeds of Africa has grown in leaps and bounds - we’ve grown our library to over 1,000 new books, completed our vegetable garden, and initiated exciting partnerships with such organizations as Working to Empower and NYU’s Wagner school of public policy.
But there’s still so much to be done! As you read this, our team is on the ground, improving our school curriculum and expanding our community education offerings. We’re also taking this time to step back and assess our methods and impacts, working with 3rd party consultants to determine our strengths and opportunity areas.
Moving forward, our goals this year include improving technology – both to provide high-speed online access to our students and to connect the center more directly with our team here in New York – making this specific project all the more important.
As always, none of our progress would be possible without your generous support, and so on behalf of our Seeds, staff, volunteers, and interns, I would like to offer my sincere gratitude for your continued support.
I hope you’ll stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks, and don’t forget to stop by our twitter and Facebook pages for up-to-the-minute news!
With love and appreciation,
Atti Worku
