We have been back in Canada, since June, connecting with the MY STORY photo project friends and preparing for the annual September MY STORY exhibition in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. The exhibition runs from September 28 through October 19, with a talk on October 5.

Workshop participants from HelpAge.org have edited photos of their lives as refugees and elders to make this show moving, funny, loving, and most of all, human.

When the project returns to Thailand in December,  I will be working with a new group of elder Myanmar refugees at Joy House in Mae Sot and in Chiang Mai.  Joy House is a community center offering support and creative opportunities to Myanmar refugees.

Then we return to Cambodia and Vietnam for workshops with HelpAge.com. Once again, participants will use cell phones for still images and videos.

A happy foot-note:  One of the MY STORY student photographers from Social Action for Women & Children was accepted at Chiang Mai University on a full-scholarship!!  Way to go, Lin Latt!

As always, I thank you for your continuing interest and support,
