Hi all,
It's been another fascinating stretch since our last update. Laura and I made it back to Italy finally after being stuck in the States due to lockdowns, etc.. It's a long tale which I will spare you from, but suffice it to say that it was full of twists and turns and making it back was not a forgone conclusion.
In the good news category, we have cleaned up and fixed alot of things on the ground here as well as having started to streamline everything here in terms of workflow, but also costs. It is low season (not to mention no one can really come to Italy at the moment) and it's difficult to rent the place, so we are staying here.
We also rescued 2 more donkeys which you can see in the video link here.
Unfortunately we have not progressed further on the project since last update. We have not been super active in the fundraising for this as we've been trying to garner corporate support, so far, unsuccessfully. But, we keep on! When we have more funds for the elderly dog shelter, we will take the next steps and complete it asap. I do plan on doing as much of the work myself as possible to keep costs down.
We are confident that we will make all of this work and we thank you as always for your generosity and support of our cause. Please check out the video update below and subscribe to our youtube channel for more fun videos.
