When individuals are engaged and stimulated, they function at a higher level, their health is better and their lives are more satisfying. There are always activities to make aging an enriching and fulfilling experience at Cedar Village. A variety of active and engaging programs are offered, providing stimulation, entertainment, and connection for each resident. Our dedicated Resident Life team is comprised of certified specialists, including a music therapist and art therapist. They spend each and every day planning a wide range of activities, running from the morning until night.
Activities offered meet a variety of interests, including, but not limited to music, art, politics, volunteering in the community and giving back to others. Special resident activities are very important. This includes special classes such as jewelry making and art; individual and group art and/or music therapy; group exercise with a trainer certified in geriatrics; concerts; lectures; theatre. There is something for everyone at Cedar Village.
Through the generosity of donors, Cedar Village is able to offer our residents the opportunity to see world class shows at venues such as the Playhouse in the Park and the Aronoff Center, all at no charge.
Thank you for your support and ensuring our residents never run out of things to do.
