Cedar Village's goal is to always enrich lives of our elders, the residents living at Cedar Village through special programming to meet their needs. Residents recently had the opportunity to be entertained by a group from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM) students from the Music Theater Department. One comment we received was, "the songs brought back so many wonderful memories of attending the theater in New York City." Additionally, our residents had the wonderful experience of hearing local author, Jane Murray Heimlich, as she began her book tour to promote "Out of Step." This summer, we will host our 3rd Annual Vintage Car Show where residents have the opportunity to go for a ride in old cars from a Model T Ford to a classic Rolls Royce. Excitement is building and one of our male residents is counting down the days until he can go for a ride in a car like the one he used to drive. Funds helped sponsor exercise classes including Tai Chi and jewelry-making classes where our residents enjoy making bracelets and necklaces for themselves and their family members. Within a retirement community it is vital to provide engagement and stimulation for mind, body and spirit.
