Last August, we took an exciting step forward and officially launched our Southern Region. After years of planning, we finally brought our vision to life, expanding our mission and making the power of sport accessible to more people in Israel’s geographic periphery.
Over the past year, we’ve grown significantly, thanks in large part to our new regional manager, whose leadership has helped establish a strong foundation for our work in the South. We began our activities in Be’er Sheva, where three coaches and two volunteers joined our team. Through partnerships with local organizations, we opened several training groups and expanded our reach. Today, we work with around 45 participants in Be’er Sheva.
We later expanded to Ofakim, where around 15 participants are now part of our programs. Through adapted sports training, we help participants build confidence, develop independence, and reach their potential. For us, sport is about more than physical activity- it’s an opportunity for personal growth, overcoming challenges, and developing new skills.
This year, we also participated in the Be’er Sheva Race for the first time. The event brought our community together around a shared passion for sport, and the Deputy Mayor even joined us for the run. It was a great opportunity to promote inclusion and demonstrate the importance of making sports accessible to everyone.
Over the past year, we’ve expanded our activities, established new partnerships, and strengthened our presence across the South. Looking ahead, we plan to extend our work to Ashkelon and Sderot, reaching more participants and creating additional opportunities for people with disabilities to experience the benefits of sport.
Thank you for being part of our journey with us!!
