Haiti is a country where the knowledge of technology is still a big challenge for most of the population. For years, our students have been asking us to incorporate a computer and technology class in our Education Programming. You may remember that we built the computer classroom at the beginning of the school year, but we did not yet have adequate laptops, nor a computer professor to instruct our students until later in the year. Therefore, we decided, so as not to disappoint our students, we would extend our program to include a summer technology lab! Because of generous contributions from donors like you, this technology instruction is finally possible. In addition, due to an overwhelming popular demand, our students will also have regular classic tutoring sessions on Fridays and Saturdays all summer long to allow them to prepare for the subjects that they will learn in their new classes during the 2018-2019 school year! They are all excited and can't wait to start their new school year as they are ready to give their best effort and performance! To improve the quality of education that we are giving to our students through our Education Program, we also completed a "revitalization" of our space with the help of a youth group team from Sugar Land Texas! This effort involved some new benches, a fresh coat of paint, electricity installation in tutoring rooms, new chalk boards, and picnic tables for a cafeteria, focus groups, and homework. This summer certainly has brought major changes to our program, and we are so proud to be able to continue to improve and grow. We are so grateful to our tutors and our donors. None of the would be possible without you!
