We reached our initial fundraising goal of $1,000 and have sent the funds to our Program director in Ethiopia to be used for the pilot program we have started. This program is unique in Ethiopia in terms of addressing the needs of special needs children who are orphans and live in extreme poverty.
The $1,000 will be used to provide teaching supplies and to provide funding for the salary of the teacher.
Our total fundraising goal is $50,000 which is now reflected on Global Giving. The $50,000 will fund the entire program for two years The initial $1,000 was to see if our program could attract donors and it has so now we are on to the larger goal of $50,000.
