In this quarter, the SMPD team conducted follow-up visits education centers. During these visits, the team assessed the students' reading, writing, and speaking skills, as well as reviewed the teachers' lesson planning to ensure it was being followed. The team observed positive results from the students, and the teachers were adhering to the lesson plans. Additionally, the team held ECMC (Education Center Management Committee) meetings at the centers. During the meetings, ECMC members reported that overall, the education centers were performing well. However, they highlighted a challenge: as it is the cotton-picking season, many families have temporarily relocated for two to three months to work, which has resulted in some children missing school during this period.
Teachers also conducted Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs). In these meetings, teachers commended parents who were paying fees on time and ensuring their children attended school regularly. They also addressed parents who were late in paying fees. These parents explained that low wages made it difficult to pay fees on time, but they committed to managing their expenses to ensure timely payment in the future.
