Education is Power

Dear Friend,

This time, we would like to share a story of young women taking action to support one another. On November 1, 2026, four students supported by Buldan Foundation and one graduate participated in the Istanbul Marathon. Each created her own fundraising campaign for our “Kzmz Okuyacak” project, inviting family, friends, and others in their networks to help fellow students continue their education.

The photographs accompanying this report capture moments from their shared effort. What made their participation especially meaningful was seeing students who receive educational support take the initiative to extend that support to others. By launching campaigns and reaching out to their communities, they became fundraisers for their peers. Having a graduate run alongside them also showed how the connections formed during university can continue beyond graduation.

Through “Kzmz Okuyacak,” we combine scholarships with mentoring, psychological support, and personal development opportunities. Your contributions through GlobalGiving help sustain this work, allowing us to support young women throughout their education. The five campaigns launched in Istanbul brought students and a graduate into that same effort, each taking an active role in supporting access to education.
