Education is Power

We have good news for you this summer. Our girls started to graduate from university. They are now ready to for life and stand on their own feet. Actually, there's no need to extend the word, let's give the floor to them.

Here is the first one ;

"The best part of my college graduation day was, of course, that moment when I finally got that diploma I've spent all those late night studies working toward. But before I tossed my cap up in the air, I thought I am one of the lucky ones and I can never forget that I did not get where I am today all of my own. Just after graduation ceremony, I have started to work for global banking market, as a part of an international financial company.

I got here today because of so many people, my family, my friends, people who volunteer for Buldan Foundation  who may never dreamed of getting a college education by themselves but who worked, and supported so that I could be here today. I owe this to them. Now, it is my turn to have the responsibility to ensure the empowerment of women, because that's the point of getting an education in the first place. -"Use your privilege to help others." as Hillary Clinton says.

Now, Buldan Foundation supports university education of 31 young girls with your donations and I truly believe that this number will not be enough. 

Once again I thank you all and wish that you will keep using your privileges to help others.

This month we are so happy because one of our girls just graduated from university.  Now she has new dreams and a bright future ahead her. We could not find proper words that could easily express our happiness and our feelings. We think that it is the best way to give the floor to her. 

"This year is the year that I graduated and opened a new page in my life. This is the year in which I say a new life begins now. I am so happy and I am thinking now what I should do and what the next step is for my future. I believe that I climbed one more step further up. However this is not an end for me since I have many years that are challenging processes to overcome in front of me. Now I have new plans for myself and for my life. I know that I am in the new beginning point in my life . My aim is to be a successful academician by reaching at the top with the support of my family and my second family Buldan Foundation. Thank you to Buldan Foundation for everything they did for me..."

Dear All,

As you know, the Buldan Foundation supports the university education of young girls with the "Education is Power" project. Foundation give scholarships to them to stand on their own feet. In addition, the Foundation supports university youth for other projects for an educated society.

This year was a year of pride for the foundation. One of our students was graduated from the Faculty of Law. Now he works as an intern lawyer at the Ankara Bar Association and his main purpose is to become a judge. For this, he entered into an examination opened by the state. He was awarded a successful result and got the right for the second stage examination.

We asked him about his feelings and thoughts about the subject; "I was born in Buldan / Denizli on October 2, 1996. I was graduated from Krkkale University Faculty of Law. Now I am an intern in Ankara Bar but my main goal is to be a judge. For this, the first stage of the written exam I passed. Now I'm waiting for the 2nd stage. I want to specialize in criminal law as a judge. The main reason I chose this goals is an injustice that I saw in my childhood. For this reason, I want to serve justice and to educate lawyers who believe in justice. Because I know I owe it to my country that has raised me. "

All our wish is for our students to be a successful doctor, lawyer, engineer, teacher etc. when they graduate, but most importantly to be good person for society.

Dear All,

Sometimes you know how difficult it is to express emotions. This is also one of those moments.

When we started our activities in 2016, many people asked us where to find the money to do what we have planned. We have said that we believe that people in good faith in the world will support us. We were right.

Now, We support the university education of 30 young girls with your donations and we believe that this number will increase even more in 2019.

On 11th of November 2018, as Buldan Foundation, we have attended to a charity run under the co-ordination of Adm Adm (Step-by-Step) formation at the 40th Istanbul Marathon. The campaign was about raising funds for girls to support their college education. Over 100 volunteers were happy to run with us from all over the world such as from France, Holland, Italy and England and they all were happy to collect donations for our campaign.

The aim was touching on the lives of these girls and raising awareness about Girls Education.  Even if we have achieved our goals for this running, this is not enough for us, so we want to reach more people day by day to tell them how important the Girls' Education for the develoment of the society. This charity run is not only important for collecting funds but also to increase of visibility of our campaign along with increasing the number of  volunteers for our foundation.

We,  almost 104 team members, run with our t-shirts written on "Kzmz Okuyacak" meaning "Education is Power" from Asia to Europe over the Bosphorus bridge in Istanbul between the continents. For the run, in the early morning we met on the bridge with our team members with our flags and other material and then run started. Some of us finished the run ( 15 km) before others but we waited each other to meet after the run to have breakfast all together.

Althought we were all tired, we were really happy and peaceful because we did something good for  society and for the sake of bright future.
