Education is Freedom for Kay Anj kids update!

By Debbie Harvey | Founder and CEO Helping Haitian Angels

Kay Anj children and tutor

Thank you all for your continued support of our Kay Anj kids education!  They are doing well in school.

After noticed that a few of our children needed some extra help in school we hired tutors to help them "catch up".

We thought we would only need the tutors for a short period of time but soon realized that we needed to keep the tutors on payroll through the end of the school year.  Most of the kids do not mind coming home from school, eating and then going right back to their school work with the tutors.  They understand that their education is the key to their future in Haiti.  They are aware that having a good education in Haiti is the foundation to acquiring a good job and raising a family as they "age out" of our orphanage.  We also have new Directors (mom and dad) for our children who will be helping with English lessons.  Jeremy and Sarah Maurer and thrilled to be a part of our HHA and Kay Anj family!  Jeremy and Sarah moved from Northern California with their 4 children earlier this month.  They're adjusting well to their new life in Haiti.

We are currently working on our Kay Anj Village school that we will be building on our new 40 acres of beautiful land in Limonade, a suburb of Cap Haitien.  We're very excited that we will be educating our kids as well as the community children in Dubout and Limonade!

Thanks again for your hearts for our precious children.
