Our Kay Anj kids are doing very well in their new school! We got their first semester grades on December 28th.
While many have good passing grades we do have a few who need extra help. If you remember this new school is quite a bit more challenging than the kids previous school. It is mostly taught in French and our kids didn't speak French. They're doing very well with their French now. We hired two tutors to come to the orphanage daily (Mon.-Fri) to help the kids with homework, French etc.
Our six kids with the highest grades were treated to a day at the Citadel in January! Nashcali (highest grades in the house), Floumens, Walner, Darline, Nodwidge, and Wislet enjoyed a fun day with our awesome HHA volunteers as they hiked to the top of the mountain to see Haiti's monument, The Citadel. The kids felt very special and the message to the others was just as important. When you do well in school you earn priviledges.
Along with learning French the kids are learning the importance of what a good education can bring to them in Haiti.
Thank you all for your love and support of our kids and their education!
