IGP TRAINING AND PREPARATION TO HIV POSITIVE PARENTS / CARE TAKER
This training programme was convened centering the HIV positive parents and care takers. This training was conducted on the basis of two affairs.
1. Improving Health :
For the purpose of giving understanding about the home made medicines.
2.Improving Economic Status:
By the training of preparation of home made medicines they can heal their minor opportunistic infections (OI) and also they can improve their economic status by selling the same to others.
Mostly HIV positive parents and their children are affected with stomach trouble, Head ache and same infection by uncleanliness by depression. If they buy medicines such as pain relievers from the pharmacy it makes some side effects to them. Therefore we offered the Training for the preparation of Oma water, Head ache pain Pam and Phenoil.
These above materials all are helpful for the health improvements. Also we convened the Demonstration of these materials preparation. Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Stella, EDP (Entrepreneur Development Programme ) Trainers, Tamilnadu women development corporation Thoothukudi offered the Training to the participants. The HIV positive parents and care Takers took notes very care fully during the Training programme. Also they asked some questions to the Trainers and doubts of the participants were clarified with the hope in their face they told us that it was an easy method and at the same time and a way had been opened for their income.
Mr. Stephen, Secretary, Thoothukudi District HIV positive Federation asked the participants to prepare these materials and increase their health and income. Also he assured that we would provide this training to the other HIV positive parents support group meeting with the help of Global Giving.

As all the three are health related products these is much possibility to sell easily these products.
