Daan Utsav: Like every yearDaan Utsav Festival was celebrated in 1st week of November 2015. 22 employees of JW Marriott from various locations in Pune got involved in the activity of beautification of one of our Study Centres. Children are very happy to see their favourite cartoon characters and colourful pictures on the walls of classroom. The look of the centre is completely changed and a cheerful atmosphere has made the learning more vibrant. Cisco (Infosys India Ltd) volunteers also assisted for repairing and beautification of another centre. A few tin sheets, beams are replaced along with electrical fittings. The centre is coloured and decorated with different charts. They also provided blackboard and shoe racks to the centre. Our children performed during Underthestars event held in Pune for sensitizing people about plight of underprivileged children by sleeping in open.
Dental camp was conducted by two dentists who explained importance of dental health through a video clip and flash cards for 30 children in Gopalvasti. Children practised appropriate way of brushing on the model of mouth. Doctors made an appeal to children to brush teeth twice a day and maintain the record for three months. Children who follow that will be rewarded after three months! Another team of 8-10 dentist conducted informative and awareness program for children in a very interesting way in Khan vasti.
