Dear Friends,
Greetings!
Hope you are doing fine. We are especially happy to bring this report to you since it is about the enormous impact your contributions have had on education and welfare of tribal children from India.
As you all know that we run a Study Centres for children in all our project locations in urban, rural and tribal locations.
In one of our study center in a remote location ,many children from Katkari tribe have showed a lot of improvement and interest in studies . It is heart-warming to see that our joint efforts have been successful in creating a thirst for learning in these children.
They don’t come to the study centre or the school out of compulsion but actually enjoy the entire learning process. Personal attention, Activity Based Learning and Nutrition support are the hallmarks of our educational interventions which are giving us the desired results.
Three months back we appointed special instructors to teach English to 60 Katkari children who can now read and construct simple sentences in English. It is a big achievement considering that just a few years back the children had not even seen a classroom or a book.
We must mention that our 2 special educators – Pavan and Vani are doing an outstanding job of remedial teaching. With great patience, they are successful in teaching batch after batch of slow-learner children. The focus is more on basic learning skills –Reading, Writing and Comprehension.
Apart from studies, the children also benefit from extra-curricular activities like Music classes and Art and Craft classes. These sessions help bring out the hidden talents and help in holistic development of children.
Friends, these Katkari tribal children are taking their first steps into a world full of exciting possibilities. Please continue to support them as they inch forward towards their bright future!
