By Lydia | Sexual Violence Prevention Coordinator
Eneza, our program that teaches high school kids on sexual violence prevention, kicked off a few weeks ago! We are having some pretty intense conversations in the high schools on consent, the definition on sexual violence, and causes of sexual violence.
We asked our students to discuss the root causes of sexual violence and one group answered, "What a girl wears." We asked who else agrees with this, and the whole class raised their hands. But one male student disagreed and surprised us all!
See what Justice said that stunned all the students!
Justice took a stance against victim-blaming and after he shared, many in the classroom also agreed with him. This is what it looks like to be an advocate against sexual violence and we are seeing young leaders rise up to the challenge!
Eneza is starting to create a ripple effect of change in our high schools in Kibera! Thanks for your support!
