Education for children/girls in Teahplay, Liberia

Greetings and thanks for your continued financial support of R.O.C.K."s project.

I'm pleased to report that R.O.C.K.'s Vice President and I recently (April 2024) visited Teahplay and the Teahplay School. We had the opportunity to spend quality time with the students, teachers, principal, vice president and members of the school's Parent-Teachers' Association. 

Everyone was thrilled to see us and we were thrilled to be with them.

The visit was very fruitful! In addition to meeting the students and teachers and PTA officers, we were able to inspect the new school building, deliver desks, chairs and blackboards for each classroom. Students and teachers previously sat on floors or planks. We also delivered a heavy duty generator to the school , had a feast for the students and checked on the library, books and other facitlities.

Your donations to R.O.C.K. is opening doors to education and restoring hope to the Teahplay school and parents. The reading materials we previously provided with funds you gave us are helping children to read and learn math. Our work is not yet done.  We are working on stocking the school library with academic and other books so students can have other opportunities to read. We have also yet to secure the projector and although we already purchased the screen it has not yet been delivered to the school. Now that the new school is secured with strong doors and locks efforts will be made to deliver the screen.
