In spring of 2016, Radio Meraj conducted a survey using the Cochran Formula to estimate the number of listeners. The results of the survey are typically good for one year. Radio Meraj is planning to conduct another survey in the middle of 2018 or early 2019 for an update of estimated listeners. Radio Meraj has many educational programs that are saving lives and helping develop the family support system in the communities of their listeners. Listeners not only gain answers to their problems, they are given direction to seeking assistance with their issues. In addition, Radio Meraj listeners are learning the importance of reaching out and communicating with their family and community members in times of need.  Below is the story of a Meraj listener:

Mohammad said, "I was born to an illiterate and very large family. My father used to torture me and he did not let me and sisters go school.  He asked us to work hard and earn money. I travelled to Iran when I was 16. As a child, I got addicted to drugs.  I tried many times to stop my drug addiction, but I could not.  Once I listened to your Islamic program and the expert speaker claimed the family has a responsibility to the addicted person and should make an effort to save that person. I shared this information with my elder brother. He took me to the Addiction Treatment Center. I have not used any drugs for the last six month ago. I am healthy now. I owe my new life to your program. Thank you Radio Meraj."

Thank you for your continued interest in the power of radio!
