Radio Meraj is a communication bridge between people and a means to update them with information and news and to educate.  Meraj staff work hard to ensure their programming is engaging, on point and of interest to the community they serve. Education is a big component for example, the programs educate women about their rights, family planning, health and how to be a leader. They also educate people about how society works, values, news, the importance of education and how it changes lives for the better and many more subjects. There are programs targeted at particular groups such as children, youth and women and all are presented in accordance with Afghan tradition.

This story shows the influence Meraj has and the way its program educate and inspire people to value education. I am Nikzad and I live in the Pashton Zerghon District. Most of the people of this district do not have access to the electricity, so we always listen to the radio. Our family chose Radio Meraj, due to your interesting programs. I have two sons, 9 and 7. They follow your programs eagerly. Your guests talking about education inspires my children. They are interested in their lessons more than before. They go to school eagerly and always study at home too. I used to call them from the city and ask them what they would like to buy them. The children use to say please bring us snacks  and drinks. Nowadays, they ask me to buy books and stationary. I owe all these changes to Radio Meraj. Thank you for your effective program"

Thank you for supporting education through radio helping the people of  Herat!
