Raunak’s Educational Journey
Raunak, a determined 10-year-old girl, is currently studying in Class 5 at a formal school. She joined our Educational Learning Centre at Park Circus two years ago, where she received academic support and guidance to strengthen her foundation.
After the passing of her father a few years ago, Raunak’s family faced severe financial difficulties. Her mother, Husna, works as a domestic helper, earning a modest monthly income of Rs. 7,000 (US$ 82.35) to support the household. Her younger brother, Hussain, is enrolled in a non-formal school.
Tiljala SHED has played a crucial role in ensuring that both children remain in school and do not engage in child labor. Through continuous persuasion and support, we have helped the family prioritize education despite their challenges. Our holistic approach to quality education not only provides academic assistance but also safeguards vulnerable children from being forced into work, empowering them with the opportunity for a brighter future.
