During the last months of 2021, we held our local meeting of working children and adolescents, where they were able to reflect on their being a worker, as well as the rights to which they have rights and how to enforce them from their reality.
65 children and adolescents from the three markets where we carried out the interventions participated in it. Similarly, on December 9, which commemorates the day for the dignity of working children, we had a public action in Plaza Catedral where we were able through games to share the experiences of more children, regarding the knowledge of their Rights.
We started ...
We started this year with the energy to continue working for the well-being of more than 250 indigenous working children, promoting and asserting their rights.
We began the work block on the recognition of "identity", recognizing their being indigenous, women, children and workers, so that from their reality they can promote community actions to improve the space.
Thank you for continuing to be part of this promotion and defense of the rights of indigenous working children.
From Melel Xojobal we wish you a Happy 2022!
