So far, this site has raised funding to send twenty more deserving children to our primary school in Uganda, half of whom are girls. In spite of the fact our school is located in a remote rural village in one of the poorest regions, national test results put out school in the top 1% of more than 19,000 schools nationwide! Our school is not luxurious but it does provide a top quality education that is changing the live of the students and their families. Through education, we can break the cycle of abject poverty in one of the poorest countries in the world. Our schoolchildren and the villagers are provided quality health care at the clinic. Lunches are served at school. A girls mentoring program is increasing girls' self esteem which is helping them stay in school in order to have a brighter future. Girls who complete primary school have greatly reduced rates of HIV/AIDS, marry latter, and have children latter. AAH partners with local public schools, providing teacher training, supplies, our education model and scholarships to secondary school for top performers. The new school year just started, and there are now 100 children needing funding to go to school.
