Empowering Women and Girls: A Report on MAIA's Impact

We are excited to highlight some of our recent events as part of International Women's Day.

Empowering Voices at the Guatemala National Palace

One of the most significant events in recent months was the participation of MAIA leaders and Girl Pioneers at an event hosted by the Vice President of Guatemala, Karen Herrera, and the US Ambassador to Guatemala, Tobin Bradley, at the National Palace. This event provided a platform for our Girl Pioneers to share their stories and advocate for the transformative power of education in their lives. Through their powerful testimonies, they highlighted the opportunities they have gained in employment and higher education as graduates of the MAIA Impact School. Read more

Empowering Narratives Celebrating International Women's Day

We invite you to explore the inspiring narratives of Girl Pioneers and our local leaders at MAIA, who articulate the vital importance of investing in women's and girls' rights for accelerating progress and equality. Their stories shed light on the challenges they have overcome and the impact that MAIA's programs have had on their lives. Read more

Your Support Makes a Difference

None of this would be possible without the network of support that surrounds MAIA and Girl Pioneers. Your partnership enables us to provide high-quality academics, socioemotional support, and family mentorship to Girl Pioneers. Together, we are empowering these young women with the skills and confidence they need to challenge societal norms, pursue their dreams, and drive positive change for everyone.
