when our collaborators and friends visiting our Community Model Project

A time for learning, a time to practice his learning, a time to share his work with others. After the training on handicrafts organized by the Foundation Limye Lavi for young people with the leaders of the "KomAnTim" committee on 26 and 28 January 2017, the Foundation encouraged young people to maintain school activities and also to apply the technical knowledge acquired During training activities.
From January to June, young people, despite the emphasis on school activities, continue to develop craft activities. All young people produce suitcases during the last training. They continue to work on the realization of the following materials: bracelets, sandals, belts ...
Many people in the community are starting to appreciate and value the work of young people. For example, many people
Buy the craft materials that young people produce.
At the end of June, from 25 to 28 June, the Limye Lavi Foundation, as part of its exchange program, was visited by a group of young foreigners in one of the communities with which the Foundation works. This was an opportunity for this group to seize the opportunity to appreciate the work of young people.
Realized in collaboration with the organization in the United States "Faith and Money Network", these visitors came from several places in the United States: Washington, Vermont, ...... .. to learn and also to support the activities of the Foundation. The group consisted of 12 people. It was a good opportunity for them to discover the country, to learn about community life and to familiarize themselves with the work of the Foundation and the community members involved in protecting the rights of children and women's rights.
The group arrived in the country on Friday 23 June in Port-au-Prince, which is the capital of the country. On Sunday 25 June, the group entered Jacmel, where the foundation is based.
The group visited the city and met with representatives of the Foundation for initial knowledge and exchange on the Foundation's mission, objectives, and accomplishments.
On Monday morning (June 26th), the group went to the community of Ma to spend a few days with families.
The community of Ma is located in the commune of Bainet in the department of the South-East. Bainet is at a distance of about 2 hours by car to the town of Jacmel.
From Bainet to Ma (where cars can reach), the distance is about 1 hour, followed by 20 minutes on foot. The road was difficult and most of the members decided to walk.
After a few moments' pause for a long and tiring journey, members of the delegation arrived in Ma, where the population was very mobilized to wait for them.
The delegation was part of the different peasant families to live and enjoy the local culture and learn from community life.
Families welcomed visitors with great joy. After a well-deserved rest, the visitors, each in their repeating families, visited the community, went swimming in the river, accompanied the peasant families to feed the animals.
The next day in the morning, a major meeting was held with community explain to the visitors what they are doing to defend and protect children's rights and improve the economic situation of families and women.
On Wednesday evening, the young people of the community came in large numbers for an important cultural event. As activities, there was a recital of music, Songs. They were applauded warmly. Visitors, members of the community had put their talents to create a beautiful atmosphere.
The visitors had a real immersion experience which facilitated a beautiful immersion.
Members of the family and the community accompanied the visitors on Thursday, June 29, to regain the road to Jacmel with a manifest regret.
Thursday evening, it was time for representatives of the Limye Lavi Foundation to meet the group's visitors. An exchange of the experience with the MA community and the follow-up of the visit was on the agenda with the visitors.
Most of them are planning to return to Haiti to continue learning about the reality of our communities and the work of the Foundation.
This visit allowed the Foundation to further appreciate its work with young people and enabled the Ma community to build bridges to facilitate exchanges and opportunities. The Foundation will continue to support young people in the communities by helping them to develop their talents and strengthen their technical skills.
