In the first quarter of this year, the VITAL program has impacted the lives of 1500 children and young people through the weekly teaching of values and school reinforcement in 4 schools in Puerto Asis and 500 children from Puerto Asis and the villages through soccer training, who also receive education in values and school reinforcement.
We have made an alliance with the farmers' cooperative on the other side of the Putumayo River, who have seen the results of the VITAL program and asked us to include more children from the villages, so we hope to have 100 more beneficiaries in the next 4 months.
In February we sent 5 young people from the villages to a professional soccer school in Bogota.
In April we had an integration with the children from all the sites, it was a very enjoyable sports day for everyone.
We will be participating in the municipal soccer tournament that will last from May to July.
Likewise, the parents and teachers of the schools where we teach ethics, values and life project classes are very grateful for the positive influence of the VITAL program in the lives of those who represent the future.
The children and young people of Putumayo are threatened by various social scourges, such as recruitment by armed groups and drug traffickers, so it is very important to offer them opportunities and help them channel their energy into positive things, and soccer is an absolutely motivating tool for them.
We continue with faith and confidence to contribute positively to society.
Thank you to everyone who makes this possible.
