We at GRACE Cares extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated to this GlobalGiving page in support of two significant community empowerment projects led by local heroes, YOCUPA and MYEP in Zambia.
Thanks to your generous contributions, MYEP is eagerly preparing to open their Resource Center later this year. They are awaiting the arrival of new custom desks that will provide children with the space needed to learn and grow, replacing the previous setup where children had to sit on the floor for activities. This Center will serve children aged 1-9, offering a vibrant hub of learning to ignite young minds with the joy of reading and exploration.
Meanwhile, YOCUPA has conducted two live Theatre for Community Action performances in the Lilanda Compound of Lusaka, raising awareness about combating sexual and gender-based violence. In May, they also organized a roundtable with numerous international partners, where YOCUPA actors demonstrated how Theatre for Community Action can be used to fight child sexual abuse online. YOCUPA will soon begin the next phase of this crucial work.
As no additional funds are needed at this time, we are taking down this project page. However, we wanted to let you know that your contributions have made a significant impact on the quality of life for the people of Zambia. We are forever grateful for your generosity.
