Highlights of December 2020 Accelerator Campaign

To Begin With

In the first quarter of 2021, WACOC has been planning the next steps following the success in meeting its goal in the Accelerator Campaign of December 2020 on GlobalGiving, while continuing to educate the community on world affairs through webinars. WACOC is now connected to a wide range of nonprofit organizations across the globe through permanent membership with GlobalGiving.

For our very first quarterly report on the “Educating the Next Generation of Global Leaders” project, we would like to brief you on the statistics of the December Accelerator Campaign just to celebrate this success with you, our donors.

Highlights of the December 2020 Accelerator Campaign

WACOC’s initial fundraising goal for the “Educating the Next Generation of Global Leaders” project was $5,000. We raised $11,055 as of 12/28/2020 with 54 different donors and 60 donations in total.

WACOC earned the “Vetted” badge on GlobalGiving in 2020.

We leveraged online fundraising platform for the first time in WACOC history
WACOC was awarded the GlobalGiving Email Promotion Prize and was featured as a top project and broadcast to new audiences, leading to greater exposure and impact.

Current Status

WACOC’s current Reward Status on GlobalGiving is Leader (Partner - Leader - Superstar) and we strive to earn more points through effectiveness and engagement in the following months to get to the Superstar status. The Leader status positions WACOC for greater visibility across the nonprofit community on GlobalGiving and provides opportunity to garner GG matching funds.
WACOC continues to provide insightful, high-end webinars to inform and educate our community on world affairs.

Sixty meals to students / teachers / participants at Academic World Quest Competition.
Five students selected to participate in WACOC’s 2021 inaugural Student Leaders Program.
Make use of GlobalGiving on-demand education tools to increase WACOC fundraising engagement and effectiveness.
