Educating the brightest and poorest youth of Haiti

Good afternoon, once again.

September 7th is just around the corner and the start of a new school year. With that comes the need to pay school expenses, etc. Our goal this week is to raise at least $1,500 to help support 3 students in schools in Les Cayes. One in high school, one in middle school, and one in elementary school. One boy, two girls. The good news is that half of those funds were sent this past week. But the other half is needed so that these students can stay in school all year.

To help assist a child on their journey toward knowledge and wisdom is a worthwhile and meaningful experience.

Today we are appealing as well for your help to raise up another generation of learners in Haiti. 

We have a friend who teaches in the Central Plateau. She has asked for help in funding the education of a few more 

students.

To help them grow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, Faith, Hope and Love.

We included a couple of pictures of the students at our local school as well. Over 110 students attend the day school in Boucantiste. You can see from the pictures that only a tarp separates the three classrooms. We always try to gift the school each year. Last year's donations help buy textbooks for each class. We would like to help them finish their school building with donations from those who value education and can help support this important work. The short video shows the type of school building the children attend is the rural areas of Haiti. You can judge for yourself what they could use in the making the education processes a little easier for their students.
