191206 - With our initial round of donations from the Accelerator, we have been able to mobilize our REDC program for hurricane Irma recovery. We have been working with our local partners to identify neighborhoods and locations within them, to host the educational events. With a desire by the communities to continue their long-term recovery efforts, we anticipate hosting the first events by the middle of the 1st quarter in 2020. The rationale behind the schedule is to get the communities past the hurricane season and the holidays. This will enable the team to mobilize the community for increased attendance, identify where the gaps in assistance are, and increase the funding capacity for the program.
