We recently shared our 2022 successes as a team, celebrating the diverse skills and experiences our children have had thanks to our wonderful supporters. Some of their key highlights included:
Our Zambian Village celebrated Independence Day on 24 October, and this year our children proposed being able to cook their own traditional meals as part of the celebrations. They were able to experience a taste of home and share their diverse cultural backgrounds with their friends and our staff team. This proved so popular that they are planning to make this a regular feature in our Village's culinary life.
In India, our children have been working hard with all their skills lessons, creating wonderful products in their woodwork, knitting and art classes. We combined these with some entrepreneurial workshops, where the children learnt how to make a business plan to make and sell their products. Two local entrepreneurs kindly came to talk to the children and we visitied their workshops. The children organised themselves into groups and sold their products at our recent Alumni reunion fair in December, making a good profit from their work.
Thank you to all our supporters: you are helping us to provide the education and tools these exceptionally bright children need to become the future leaders and change-makers of their communities. Every donation helps create a brighter future. Thank you!
