A Fulfilling Year!
It is over a year that we have been on GlobalGiving and it has been a very fulfilling and successful experience for us. We would like to thank GlobalGiving and all our supporters for their partnership through the year. The year bygone has been also very satisfying otherwise and we feel very happy to report our accomplishments.
With the current rapidly changing landscape in education and other areas in India, we realized that while our efforts at the primary and High school levels must continue, we need to enhance our focus on the youth, the age group between 15 to 20 years. Towards this end, we worked to increase our reach and commitment to the Ten Plus & Graduate programme for the college going students. The disturbing reality that an estimated 80% of the total graduates in India are not readily employable in industry, prompted us to introduce the Finishing School programme along with a strong Mentoring component for our Graduate students. This was all made possible through your Global Giving contributions.
A few highlights of our Ten Plus programme in 2014:
We spent a lot of quality time with the students and parents this year and we are sure this will bear fruit by the end of the year. All this and much more kept us busy through the year and we feel very happy to have achieved what we did by the end of it. None of this would have been possible without your support and we look forward to your continued partnership in the coming years to help us lead the students to attractive livelihood options and a brighter future.
