Happy New Year!

By Mehwish Ayyub | Supervisor

Before I begin my thoughts for the year ahead, on behalf of our entire team, may I first thank all who have stood with us through 2017. I pray that our partnership continues and grows. We need you to stand with us. Because of your help, we have had our best year. I wish you a blessed year ahead.

We're saying goodbye to 2017 and welcoming 2018, bidding goodbye to the past year while ushering in the new. A fresh start. A new chapter in life waiting to be written. New questions to be asked, embraced, and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in this transformative year of delight and self-discovery.

On this New Year we decided to share the work we did in 2017 with all our wonderful donors, partners and supporters like you. 2017 was an incredible year for us at Educate a Girl. We completed 1000 girls’ education in Karachi – Pakistan and started Educate a girl programme in Lahore – Pakistan where we educated 250 girls. We also educate 1000 more girls in Nigeria.

Although the impact have always been incredible but in 2017 we learned more and more how our educate a girl scholars from different countries are giving back to their community. Almost 25 #EAGKarachi scholar has funded the education of other girls in Karachi and many #EAGNigeria scholars are training and teaching other girls and empowering them .

We also got incubated by Facebook and through its platform free basics by Facebook, now educating million girls across the globe where education will reach the palm of girl’s hand in her own language and we will try to make education more and more easy and fun for all girls so in the coming years there will be no issue of girl education because every girl will be educated.

We also got recognized by the World Bank as top 2% women led initiative in the MENA region and whole year got more and more acknowledgment and praised for our work in the field of girl education.

There are many other achievements and milestones from 2017 for Educate a girl for which we are so proud of and also so thankful to all our donors like you all because it wouldn’t have been possible without your support.

So from the whole team of Educate a Girl we thank you and Wish you a very happy new year.

Together, we are transforming lives!
