Progress Report-Help Vulnerable Children in Uganda
Dear GlobalGiving Team,
Greetings from Village Vision Care (VVC)!
We are submitting our progress report for the project Help Vulnerable Children in Uganda Go to School (Project ID: 73703).
Project Status:
It has been nearly five months since the project’s approval, and we have not yet received donations. Despite this, we continue to work tirelessly to support vulnerable children, youth, single and young mothers, and elderly individuals without family support in our communities. Our ongoing efforts include:
Core Programs / What We Do:
Health / WASH: Providing access to clean water, hygiene, and essential healthcare.
Education / Child Support: Ensuring children can attend school and reach their potential.
Livelihoods & Skills Development: Equipping youth and mothers with skills for sustainable income.
Environmental Conservation: Protecting natural resources while supporting communities.
Objectives:
Work with vulnerable groups to improve their well-being, opportunities, and quality of life.
Collaborate and affiliate with similar organizations to strengthen impact and reach.
Enhance income and economic stability among disadvantaged households.
Invest resources strategically to maximize community benefit.
Support and educate children and youth to ensure access to quality learning and personal development.
Foster values of unity, honesty, trustworthiness, volunteerism, and knowledge-sharing within communities.
Challenges:
Despite our active outreach, the project has not received donations to date. Many families we serve struggle to meet basic educational and livelihood needs, making the impact of potential donations even more urgent.
Visibility and engagement remain limited, and we are seeking guidance on how small nonprofits like ours can improve project visibility on GlobalGiving and better connect with donors.
Questions for Consideration:
How can we increase visibility for this project to attract donations more effectively?
Are there strategies or connections that GlobalGiving can facilitate to help small nonprofits engage companies or long-term supporters?
Could there be additional support mechanisms for small projects that are vital but have not yet received funding?
We remain committed to timely and transparent reporting and will continue sharing updates on our programs, community impact, and progress toward our goals.
Thank you for your continued support and for providing a platform that enables organizations like ours to reach and assist vulnerable communities.
With gratitude,
Ronnie Remmy Mukwaya
