Dear Friends
Thanks to all of your incredible generosity for this noble cause through Global Giving Challenge, we have raised $2,041 for initiating our social activities.
We would like to thanks all our volunteers and well wishers for motivating and spreading our voice during this challenge.
Through this challenge, we have succeeded to raise half of our target goal $4000, I am happy to announce that through this fund we will explore new opportunities to develop interest towards the education among the children who belong to the most disadvantaged communities.
The most alarming situation is that most of the children are deprived with the primary education due to poverty and unawareness. Through our initial educational awareness activities named “Open School Program”, we are focusing on the urban slum and will motivate to join children and their parents with this education awareness activities, so that these children and their parents can become aware with the value of education.
Our main objective of this three months long program which will start from mid of June is to provide non formal education to these poor children especially to girls and generate interest among them and their parents for the education and finally enroll them with the formal schools. Through this program we will reach to approx. 150 children and 300 families.
Our team members, teachers and volunteers will conduct classes , direct meetings, workshops, counseling with the slum dwellers for developing their positive mindsets towards the importance of education for their children.
We are aiming to open three non formal education learning center in the slum with the project goal of $40000 which we have posted on the GlobalGiving.
Once again, we have been truly inspired during the GlobalGiving’s April challenge for your kind support for this project. However, we could not get permanent spot in the April’s challenge but we are heading for coming September challenge at GlobalGiving with the great zeal and vision.
