Educate the Future Leaders of Sierra Leone

Because of you, hundreds of students in Freetown walked into a classroom not knowing how to open a file — and walked out able to build a spreadsheet, format a letter, or design a flyer with confidence.

We recently reviewed seven years of course evaluations from our computer training program — 590 responses collected between 2019 and 2026 — and the results directly reflect what your generosity has made possible. On average, students rated their own computer skills at 2.87 out of 5 when they started a course. By the end, that number rose to 4.35 out of 5. Nearly half of our students arrived with little to no prior computer experience; by graduation, 89% rated themselves "Very Good" or "Excellent."

These aren't just numbers to us. They're students like Marian, who told us she can now type a professional letter for the first time. They're students like Osman, who used what he learned to build business templates. Sixty-eight percent of our students said they enrolled specifically because they believed these skills would help them find a job — and 95% told us their instructor made the difference.

None of this happens without donors who believe that a computer lab in Freetown is worth investing in.
