By Amy Baty-Herbert | Project Coordinator
Since the last update in February windows have been installed, the classroom walls have been plastered, and the floors and ceiling are finished as you can see in the photos below. We are so thankful for the continued support to help build a nursery school in Kamawornie, which started being built in early 2022.
The village of Kamawornie is so thankful for your support and many families are actively involved in the building process bringing water, helping plaster, helping prepare and lay the cement, installing the windows, and whatever else is needed to continue the classroom construction for their children.
The next steps are painting, constructing a local toilet facility, adding a playground, and putting a fence around the building. We invite you to help us finish this project for the nursery school students in Kamawornie.
We know the future is bright for these young minds now that they can get the necessary nursery foundation so they are prepared for elementary school.
