The Educate & Protect 250 Orphans in Bauchi, Nigeria project, implemented by Elite Star Foundation, remains in its early implementation stage, with efforts focused on mobilization, advocacy, and securing the financial resources required to deliver its planned interventions. According to the project’s latest published report dated May 22, 2026, the campaign had raised $1 from one donor toward its total funding target of $10,000. The project page currently records two donations, with $9,999 remaining to reach the target. This represents approximately 0.01% of the required funding, indicating that substantial financial resources are still needed before the project can be fully implemented.
The planned budget will support educational scholarships, school uniforms, books, daily meals, essential healthcare, and psychosocial assistance for 250 orphaned children in Bauchi State. It also includes monthly food parcels for guardians to reduce household financial pressures that may force children into street begging, hazardous labour, or other unsafe circumstances. At present, the available project report does not confirm expenditure, funds disbursed, or the number of children who have received these services. Consequently, implementation progress remains primarily centred on fundraising outreach and stakeholder engagement rather than documented service delivery. The foundation continues to pursue partnerships and financial support while emphasising transparency and accountability. The immediate priority is to strengthen funding mobilisation and maintain clear financial records so that future reports can demonstrate how resources received are allocated and the measurable benefits delivered to the children and their guardians.
