Educate Orphans in Rural Uganda

Encouraging Regular School Attendance
School attendance is one of the most important factors influencing academic success. Unfortunately, many orphaned children in rural Uganda face barriers that prevent consistent attendance. During this quarter, our project worked to address these challenges and encourage regular participation in education.
With support from GlobalGiving donors, school fees were paid for vulnerable learners, and educational materials were distributed to ensure children could attend classes without interruption. These interventions reduced absenteeism and strengthened students' commitment to their studies.
Teachers reported significant improvements in attendance records among supported beneficiaries. Children who had previously missed lessons due to financial difficulties were now present consistently and actively engaged in learning activities.
Community meetings were organized to emphasize the value of education and encourage guardians to prioritize school attendance. These discussions highlighted the long-term benefits of education for individual children and community development.
Several students shared personal testimonies about how educational support had changed their lives. They expressed relief at being able to remain in school and gratitude for the opportunity to continue pursuing their goals.
The positive outcomes achieved this quarter reinforce the importance of sustained educational support. We are grateful to all donors whose generosity is helping orphaned children remain in school and build brighter futures.
