School Enrollment Support for Rural Orphans
We are pleased to share progress from our ongoing project to support orphaned children in rural Uganda through access to education. During this reporting period, we successfully identified and enrolled vulnerable orphaned children who had previously been unable to attend school due to financial hardship. Many of these children had lost one or both parents and were living with elderly grandparents or guardians who struggled to meet their educational needs.
Through donor support, we provided school fees, uniforms, exercise books, pens, and other essential learning materials. The provision of these resources enabled children to begin the school term with confidence and dignity. Teachers reported improved attendance rates among supported learners, with many students attending classes consistently for the first time in several months.
Community meetings were also conducted to raise awareness about the importance of education and child protection. Guardians expressed gratitude for the support, noting that it relieved a significant financial burden and allowed them to focus on providing emotional care for the children.
Several beneficiaries shared their dreams of becoming teachers, nurses, and engineers. Their renewed hope demonstrates the transformative impact of education. Despite challenges such as rising education costs and transportation difficulties in remote villages, the project continues to make a meaningful difference.
We remain committed to ensuring that every orphaned child has access to quality education. Thank you to all GlobalGiving donors whose generosity is helping create brighter futures for vulnerable children across rural Uganda.

Expanding Access Through Additional Library Openings
We are pleased to report continued progress toward our goal of establishing 10 community libraries in rural communities. During this reporting period, additional library sites have been prepared and equipped with furniture, bookshelves, desks, chairs, and educational materials. Community members have played an active role in supporting setup activities, demonstrating strong ownership and commitment to the project's success.
The newly established libraries are already attracting children and youth who previously had limited access to books and safe learning spaces. Many learners now have opportunities to read outside school hours, complete assignments, and participate in educational activities that support academic growth.
Teachers have welcomed the libraries as valuable resources that complement classroom learning. Parents have also expressed appreciation for the safe environments where children can spend their time productively.
As more libraries become operational, we are reaching an increasing number of beneficiaries across the target communities. These facilities are helping bridge educational gaps and create opportunities for children to develop literacy skills and expand their knowledge.
We thank our generous donors for making this progress possible. Your support continues to transform communities by providing access to learning resources and inspiring children to pursue brighter futures through education.

Growing Participation Among Children and Youth
We are encouraged to report a significant increase in participation among children and youth using the newly established library. Since opening, the facility has welcomed a growing number of learners who visit regularly to read, study, and engage in educational activities.
Many children have expressed excitement about having access to books for the first time outside of their school classrooms. The library provides a quiet and supportive environment where they can complete assignments, improve reading skills, and interact positively with peers.
Teachers have noted increased enthusiasm for reading among students who frequently visit the library. Parents have also shared positive feedback, reporting that children are spending more time reading at home and showing greater interest in learning.
The project team continues to monitor library attendance and gather feedback to improve services and ensure the needs of users are met effectively. Community volunteers remain actively involved in supporting daily operations and encouraging participation.
This growing engagement demonstrates the transformative potential of accessible educational resources. We thank our donors for helping create opportunities that inspire learning, strengthen literacy skills, and empower young people to achieve their educational goals.
