More Than 500 Liberian Children Continue Their Education
Since our last report, Girl Power Africa has helped more than 500 children remain enrolled in school and continue building the skills they need for a better future. Donor support has provided school fees and essential learning materials while also making tutoring and academic assistance available to students who need additional help. These resources remove some of the most immediate barriers that prevent children from attending school consistently and succeeding in the classroom.
Lucia is one of the students whose education has been strengthened through this project. After illness in her family caused her to begin the previous school year late, she was unable to complete the third grade and is now repeating it. Rather than giving up, Lucia has returned determined to improve. She reports making progress in reading and writing, and she has set clear goals for herself: to attend school regularly, work harder, and advance to the next grade. She dreams of becoming a doctor so she can one day help people in her community.
Lucia’s determination reflects the spirit of the more than 500 children reached through this project. School fees open the classroom door, supplies allow students to participate fully, and academic support helps them continue when learning becomes difficult. Each child enrolled represents a family given hope and a young person given the opportunity to imagine a future shaped by education rather than poverty. We are deeply grateful to GlobalGiving donors for making that opportunity possible.
