Our women’s empowerment project has continues to change lives as we moved into the 3rd phase of awarding business grants to support 30 women-owned businesses in Minna. These grants are designed to help the women sustain and expand their businesses.
The Timeout for Africa team carried out a thorough vetting process of over 150 small women-owned businesses that submitted requests for assistance. After careful consideration, another group of 30 women was selected to receive the grants.
We are excited to announce that the distribution process went very well. The recipients came from different walks of life and professions, ranging from pot makers to vegetable sellers. We were also able to visit some of the women at their places of business to witness firsthand the positive impact the funds have already made in helping their businesses grow.
We sincerely thank everyone for the continuous support. Please continue to support our work in Minna as we empower women and create opportunities for school children through our programs.
