Abhilasha Foundation is immensely proud of the improvements that we have been able to make in the lives of these underprivileged children and hope to reach out to many more underprivileged children with your continued support…… We cannot accomplish any of this without your valuable support….Abhilasha Foundation has set up 14 portable classrooms for teaching underprivileged children. These underprivileged children are not only provided with quality education but also with a quality stationary, life skills and focus on teaching English to them. The funds received will be used for educating these children. Please help Abhilasha Foundation to give these children a hope for the future and the assurance of our unwavering helping hand by educating them. Case story of one of the beneficiaries under Educational Support Programme:
This is the story of a young 13 year old boywho stays in the slums of Malwani, Malad, Mumbai. He is studying in 7th standard at N.T.C.C Society High School. His father died of a heart attack when he was very young and he has one elder sister who is also studying. After school both of them come together to the center and study.His mother works as a domestic servant. He is a very soft spoken intelligent boy and very enthusiastic by nature. He has a brilliant intellect and is a quick learner. He helps his mother in bringing vegetables, food grains etc. from shop. Though the financial condition of his mother is very poor but he desires to study further and wants to complete his education. He has been associated with Abhilasha Foundation for the last 3 years. When he joined the center he was a very shy boy but today he takes initiative and teach the other children dance, painting and songs etc. whatever they have learnt in the school.As most of the children are studying in municipal school and he and his sister are studying in English medium. His mother says that there is a lot of difference as his personality has totally changed. He has become bold and teach the other children. Abhilasha Foundation is immensely proud of the improvements and we have been able to make change in the lives of these underprivileged children and hope to reach out to many more underprivileged children with your continued support. Global Giving Team stay connected with our work which seeks to educate underprivileged children. We have been expanding our educational support through the portable classrooms to 14 centers wherein many more children are getting benefitted. Our commitment towards academic skills with creative development we all continue to bring these underprivileged children in the mainstream. We are stronger and more resilient together – your continued support allows us to build better, more creative and sustainable programs for our young people.
